Rory Mcilroy the New US Open Champion 2011
Well, if it was hard to believe that a golfer from Northern Ireland could win the US Open then how about it being won back to back by two amazing golfer’s from Northern Ireland.
Well, we can see that the win this year by Rory Mcilroy was simply amazing Major victory that will thrust this young man into the annuals of golfing history. So, what can be seen by Rory’s play over the weekend is not only his amazing accuracy with the driver as he found fairway after fairway. This sort of amazing driving allowed him to hit the greens in regulation and set him up to post a great score. However, this alone does not win a major tournament by such a winning margin on it’s own. His putting was amazing and this is one of the areas where he left his competition in his wake.
This goes to show any golfer the importance of putting, having confidence in your putter and a good putter. We all can’t be a pro golfer, but we all love the game and want to play better, so what better way than get the putter that you deserve.
